8brand had the chance to work with a brand new
upstream oil and gas company in Nigeria. With the belief
in building a powerful African energy company, which is
based on sustainable ventures that benefit Nigeria as a
whole, this company needed to brand itself. A brand strategy
was developed, which guided the generation of their name,
Petralon. The next step involved the design of the logo, which
was based on the idea that finding oil is like finding a needle in a
haystack.
Inspiration was drawn for the Google Maps pin, and in
conjunction with an oil drop and infinity symbol was formed
which symbolized sustainable business. We called it the
Petralon infinity drop. 8brand created a corporate identity that
was rolled out to business stationery, signage and website.
